Wowee! While going about a typical morning in our Puerto Vallarta Airbnb condo, we were jolted by a deafening crash from the bedroom.

Usually, Scott would be meditating or reading on the bed at that hour, but by sheer luck, he was sitting in a chair instead.

Without warning, a massive section of the bedroom ceiling collapsed, smashing onto the bed in a cloud of debris. Huge slabs landed right on our pillows, shattering into countless pieces.

At first, we suspected a small earthquake, but the real culprit? A sneaky moisture buildup created a bubble, causing the ceiling to collapse.
