I sure wish my problem could be solved like that.
Great video. It saved our trip and some money. Cause I was about to call a repair guy. We’re at Twin Knobs in Kentucky and it was gonna cost me a pretty penny. Such a simple fix. Thanks
That is awesome! Super happy it helped.
You look like my boi that works at UPS
Ha! Nope, never worked for UPS.
Omg thank you for posting this video!!! It totally just saved me!
You’re welcome!!
Oh my god! Thank you!!!! My first time Boondocking in my new RV and I was having the same issue. I can’t thank you enough for sharing!! Thank you so so much!
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
Thank you thank you thank you! I tried that earlier but the pump sounded like it was dying. Then it shut off. I didn’t know it shuts off on its own! Haha…
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
Thank you x100!
Same exact problem on 2018 Forest River XLR Toy Hauler. It’s been an issue for a month. When on city water all is fine. When I’m not connected. No water.
I replaced the Shurflo standard pump with a 5 GPM Seaflo model. Shurflo was actually broken and needed replacing After installing new pump, still no water pressure.
After seeing your video 5 minutes ago, I walked outside to control panel and turned Anntifreeze winterizing line to OPEN ( I could feel built up pressure being released as I turned the valve from closed position to open ).
I walked inside trailer turn on the sink faucet and voila tons of water at very high pressure.
Oh my goodness. You solved my problem.
I’m going to wait an hour for the hot water tank to heat up and then a relaxing shower.
Awesome!
I am getting water in my system but its sporadic. I think this could be it maybe? I hooked up to city water and it works fine, so I’ll see if I have something like this.
We’ve all been there! Lol Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Your video encouraged me to look a little deeper. I found another valve hidden in the back- a quick twist and I had water! 💦 Hallelujah!
Wonderful!
Dumbest video in the history of the entire universe. By the dumbest person in the history of the entire universe!
OK, lol
You are a natural on this fixing thing. Your video is quite helpful in case we will hav disuse on our own RV water pump.
Late response. My question is should all the facets be closed/turned off before starting the pump?? I’ve seen conflicting vids. Thanks
I don’t think it should matter at least not with the type of pump we have.
Thank you! I had this exact problem! RV manuals are not helpful at all. Thanks for posting this!
Glad it helped!
Life saver!!!
Thanks! This video pointed me in the right direction!
Great to hear!
Great explanation. I was searching forever to try to determine where this dang hose was. Ours was under the sink, behind the drawers, but the same color as all the other hoses. Thank you.
Thanks this video helped me. Had the same issue. Thanks for sharing……
You’re welcome!
It was a gr8 video. Thanku.
Also remember, there is a valve on the back side of where the spicket hose hooks up. We had the same noise at the faucets, but different solution. That valve made us think our pump was bad also. Not the case. That peice, just a couple bucks to replace.
Stock pump is gr8. Back to normal. (TaDa)
That’s a thumbs-up in my book
The transparent hose is obviously to winterize it it’s meant to plug into a jug of antifreeze. It’s actually a good thing to have set up already. We figured it out pretty quickly as well. Nice to discover your channel. We are two dads who weekend RV. Subscribing now.
Cool, thanks.
Thanks so much. Your video was very helpful when we were stranded without water at the lake.
Thought I had my same issue narrowed down to needing to prime the pump, but after watching your video, I noticed that I had left my valve open just slightly after winterizing it for the first time last year and it was introducing just enough air to throw that and my insta-hot water tank off at the same time due to not enough water flow. Thank you!
Thank you!!!!!! Camping right now with the exact problem and you solved it! I was about to call and make a service appointment, but watched this first. Bless you!
Awesome! You’re welcome.
I believe the transparent hose is also used to prime the water pump.
Ta da 👍
This was so helpful!!!!! I was working on this exact problem for 2 hours today and your video solved it. I am surprised my how little information is provided in the manual… Thank you!
Super happy that it helped.
It ticks me off how little information is provided in my user manual. Zero pictures, and it says stuff like “turn the valve on the water heater” ok, where’s the hot water heater? Found it, ok, there are 3 valves, which one? gah. Video’s like this are so helpful indeed.
I just bought a boat, and today’s my first day on it. I had this exact problem and your video was the exact solution. Thank you.
Awesome! Glad it helped.
Two suggestions –
1) You could quiet your pump noise by wrapping your water lines in 1/2″ split foam, and
2) smooth out your water flow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5ansTftQNw) with an accumulator (though your flow looked pretty good from what I saw).
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. I actually bought an accumulator just haven’t installed yet. That noise can be a bit annoying at times.
